Time to follow the piper

I See Two Hills

Life is full of choices -- as it should everbe;
for surely it is through choosing that I create
and polish the mirror in which I may see
the shadowed glimpse of Light I carry.

Two hills to climb right now -- or perhaps another day;
as they seem more like mountains medium far away,
and I wish they more clearly defined or fair,
one so life-green and one so somber-dark.

Of course my perceptions -- confused by dreams and yearning,
can but poorly judge by way of mind and soul,
and I must wait for my spirit to swing free
before I step upon a path of wonder.

For by just choosing which -- assuming I have an invitation,
Is first a matter of choosing to choose at all,
For if I turned my view a trifle or grand
A universe of possibilities would unfold.

Dare I bravely limit -- such courage must be of heart;
to simple innocence of closely here or distant there,
of bright lit hopes or unknown shadow fears,
when by hiding I might discover other me's?
