Windblown water
seeps through worn rocks
of a cave,
turns murky
until carried to deliverence
it sparkles in the sun.
Prompted by wise thoughts
clear words slip from our tongues,
enter doubtful minds
that carried to deliverence
see water spring
from the mouth of a cave.

Sand and rounded river rocks act as a filter underground. Murky water inside the cave can go subterranean, being purged and purified, resurfacing at the cave’s mouth cleansed, clarified and crystalline, singing out from tongues.
I’m glad to ‘see’ your voice again Chris! I hope the metaphorical “bell” behaves itself and you don’t get spirited away into oblivion again!
A lovely poem, Chris. The simplicity of your words show that Nature has a Her own methods of cleansing that which is muddy.
