Medusa

Oh priestess
hiding behind
the mask
of the
goddess
mortal woman
Athena transformed
into a
gorgon
golden winged
with lizard scales
and hair
of vipers
blood spilt
sends forth
snakes
to every
corner of
the earth
one look
upon your
face turns
a man
to stone.

except in jest ...
thus my posting ...
but by your gifting
I will perhaps understand.

m'lady Em once said, "you cannot ever be turned to stone, can you?"

perhaps she understands ...

Thank you

Yes! Megan, Yes! And here, it is said, we must stay, behind the mask, least our power prove too much. Follow the myths to understanding, you'll arrive nine times out of ten, condemed by your own stength. Is there something worse than stone? You can't wipe that apple juice off your lips.

A brilliant poem.

Great combination - I wonder what her driving cause will be, where the energy will be channelled the most judiciously and effectively! Amazing piece of art.
