Live Poets at Soul Food
The Dead Poets Society met in a cave to read and share verse. This group is for poets who are very much alive, who have words running, pulsating through their veins. From an outside landscape that can be harsh and barren, we come together in this nurturing, verdant oasis; fellow wanderers, wonderers, sharing our words.

I too have walked beneath the sacred stones
in the days before Money Woman
brought the tents and toilets
In those days, quiet days
the great cathedral of our ancestors
lay silent in winter sunlight
and the memory of the makers
filled the space
and I too heard the tread
of a thousand forbearers
who built this place
and worshiped here
Now all toilets and concessions are on the other side of the road behind a hill in one quite tasteful building. Kudos to WHS - World Heritage Sites.
There is, however, a plan underway to build a highway through the WHS land, too close to Stonehenge for comfort. So the dance goes on . . . two steps forward and three steps back.
